On October 16th -18th this year, the Stone House Center for Public Humanities will be hosting its fourth annual Live Like a Stoic Week. CPH student worker and intern Lottie Johnson will be leading the event following in the footsteps of Dr. Andrew Winters of previous years. Our event will take place over three evenings, during which we will be hosting an open discussion about the history and evolution of stoicism, related meditative and reflective practices, as well as learning how these tools continue to be effective today. Our goal is for our attendees to leave the event with a functional knowledge of stoicism to increase mental calmness, resilience in the face of difficulty, and an increased awareness of the causes and effects of one's own actions.
